Seeking an entry/junior level candidate with bookkeeping/accounting background in a corporate setting.  This is a direct position, salary 45-50k

Location:  Tempe/Chandler area

 

Job purpose

 

The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of tasks in support of the finance team through the reconciliation of accounts receivable, accounts payable and the maintenance of various financial subsystems.  Ultimately, the right candidate for this position must be willing to learn, grow and develop the tools necessary become an Assistant Controller.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 
  • Support audit requirements, general documentation requirements and supply of borrowing base consideration to bank
  • Develop organizational and operational excellence by upholding company policies and procedures as well as demonstrating a level of professionalism and communication consistent with the expectations of the position
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Responsible for company exterior billing, receivables, collection efforts and responding to customer account inquiries
  • Assist in daily deposits, account receivable and intracompany account reconciliation
  • Maintenance and review of credit extended to customer base
  • Expense Reporting Reconciliation to company credit card policy  
  • Assist in monthly inventory analysis, forecast sales projections, organizational capacity levels and month end reports as required
  • Assist in month-end close process by completing assigned tasks
  • Prepares and develops ad-hoc management reports for decision making
  • Prepares profitability analysis of new and existing business, revenue improvement, and cost saving opportunities
  • Support internal audit requirements and general documentation requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly through written and oral means of communication
  • Issuance, maintenance and review of credit extended to customer base
  • Growing knowledge of European payroll, insurance, benefits & pensions
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’ s Degree
  • Applicant must be able to work autonomously while possessing strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
  • 1-2 Proven work experience in professional role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, to include excellent Excel skills, MS Access and familiar with Data Mining
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with supply chain management accounting is a plus
